Julia & Cliff

Every once and a while you meet someone who is an amazing human being who stays in your mind and heart, someone who even though you’re not in contact with them, you think about them and pray for their happiness. For me, that’s Julia!

I’ll never forget the morning of February 1st 2019, opening an email from Julia I’d been waiting years to see. “She was engaged!” and I was over the moon for her!

Wonderful Cliff proposed on the wharf at Kirribilli overlooking the beautiful Sydney Harbour. Julia remembers it being the hottest day Sydney had seen in sometime but as they went for a walk a southerly blew into Sydney.
Julia & Cliff were married in the gorgeous St Augustine’s Neutral bay where they attend Sunday evening services, and chose the Public Dining Room in Balmoral for their lunchtime reception. They wanted a venue with good food and wine and somewhere beachy for their international guests to enjoy and where they could host a big long family lunch with their favourite people. They also made the most perfect exit from the reception leaving by boat!

Julia & Cliff had so many amazing people in their lives, it was hard to choose their bridal party. They decided on Julia’s sister Melanie (another CR Bride) great friend Sophie, Cliff’s brother Neil and and another friend Richard. But on top of that they also had close friends involved in other ways throughout the day, both at the ceremony and reception.

“The best advice I got was that the purpose of the day was for Cliffy & I to get married & everything on top of that was just a bonus!” – Julia
